Job Description:

Overall Job Objective : To serve as the subject matter expert for e-commerce as well as the central point of contact for the business. To grow active and ordering eCommerce customers and reduce cost to serve which includes measuring and reporting this information. Responsible for educating the field so they can secure business opportunities with current and potential customers. Responsible for communicating opportunities and market information to field sales network or corporate departments for execution of deliverables or future strategic development.


  • Work closely with field and inside sales leadership to help support Fiscal Year plans via eCommerce channels

  • Increase eBusiness adoption rate of customers in Facilities Supply via online or system to system channels

  • Must be proficient in eProcurement platforms relevant in the facilities supply industry: Yardi, Ops Technology, DSSI & PunchOut Catalogs (Birchstreet, Coupa, Nexus etc)

  • Responsible for teaching a team of eBusiness owners as well as the field to ensure they are equipped to answer questions and execute

  • Align with national accounts team and grow eCommerce sales opportunities

  • Communicate regularly with eBusiness Product Owners, eBusiness HQ teams - merchandising, content, etc

  • This position requires the ability to recognize opportunities. Along with the sales experience to successfully negotiate and close deals.

  • Pursuing sales leads and prospective clients, building client relationships, delivering presentations and proposals, maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions, and negotiating and closing business deals.

  • Report on the progress made month over month as well as initiatives, challenges


  • In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.

  • Uses firsthand experiences, makes reasonable judgment calls, and may call on other resources where necessary to identify solutions

  • Represent the company in a professional manner always ensuring quality customer service

Ideal candidate:

  • 5 – 10 years experience in sales and/or ecommerce

  • sales rep preferably with a history of growing sales with Facilities Supply customers and implementing programs to grow the business & relationship

  • Travel as needed - Average 2 weeks per month

  • Must live in the Hampton Roads, VA area (Tidewater)


  • BS/BA preferably in Business Administration or Marketing

  • Highly motivated individual and self-starter

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

  • Ability to understand and evaluate the customer’s business and processes as well as specific Facilities Supply needs

  • Capable of analyzing issues and developing solutions

  • Lifting small weighed objects constantly; 10 pound objects frequently and 20 to 30 pound objects occasionally

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory including arriving at the time scheduled by your supervisor daily.
